Memories
From Lena Rasmussen: Uncle Moki was a Composer of many Church anthems, had a male goat named Billy Goat.......he was such a funny animal..........lived out back and would chase the heck out of us kids. We'd (Nani and I) saved tin cans to take to Billy. What I remember of Aunty Mary, she loved to cook, kept a "see" only palor..........(lol, we couldn't sit on the furniture) big heavy Victorian style sofas, etc..........she was rather serious, but a loving person. She and Aunty Dora were always together. Died young, of a heart attack, ...........in her car in Kuau.........right on Hwy 36....close to Bill's first house, by the Waterhouse's than Tavares property. I don't know if this is correct, but I think she was also a telephone operator? Not sure.

Uncle Moki was a gentle soul. He was so kind and giving. Soft spoken, adored his only child........He was a Mormon who converted (what else could he do...lol), or he was a Congregationalist and later become a Mormon. Believe his family was from Kauai.
